Green sand molding is by far the most diversified molding method used in the present casting processes. The process utilizes a mold made of compressed or compacted moist sand.The term “green” denotes the presence of moisture in the molding sand and indicates that the mold is not baked or dried. The mold material consists of silica sand mixed with a suitable bonding agent “clay” and moisture.To produce the mold, a flask, usually a metal frame, although wood may be used for some processes and types of castings, is placed over the pattern to produce a cavity representing one half of the casting.Compaction is achieved by either jolting or squeezing the mold. The other half of the mold is produced in a like manner and then the two halves are positioned together to form the mold.

We are using the machine molding line to replace the traditional manual molding method now,Machine moulding could guarantee the same moulding pressure, and stable moulding quality, so to produce iron castings with stable dimensions and quality.

The molding machine has some difference with automatic molding line. In the molding machine process,we only to use molding machine to finish moulding process,so that our worker need to remove the sand moulds to another places for the following processes,for example pouring hot liquid iron and clean the sand,so we can kept the hot iron in the sand mould according our engineer request.After the iron has become very cool,we could break the sand mould.However,the molding process almost impossible to be completed through automatic molding line,because their casting equipment are different.
